Greenwich Tunnel for iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS

How the app works

Greenwich Tunnel checks the Royal Borough of Greenwich's official status page to tell you whether the north lift (Island Gardens) and south lift (Cutty Sark) in the Greenwich Foot Tunnel are currently working.

The app refreshes automatically in the background and can send you a notification when lift status changes.

Common questions

The app says a lift is working but it isn't (or vice versa).
The app relies on the council's own status page. If the council page is out of date, the app will be too. You can submit a community report to let other users know the real status.

I'm not getting notifications.
Make sure notifications are enabled in the app's settings (tap the gear icon) and in your device's Settings > Greenwich Tunnel > Notifications. Background App Refresh also needs to be on.

The app shows "Status unavailable."
This usually means the council's status page is temporarily down or your device doesn't have an internet connection. Pull down to refresh, or try again later.
